Superego is the part of the mind that would freud have described as being like a type of conscience that punishes misbehavior with feelings of guilt. Freud psychoanalytic theory discuss that the superego is the latest improving of three agencies with the id and ego of the human personality. The superego is the ethical constituent of the personality and offers the moral values by which the ego works. The superego criticism exclusion and self-consciousness form the person conscience and its positive goals and ideals signify one’s ideal self-image or ego ideal. It develops while in the first five years of life in feedback to parental punishment and support.
