Explanation:

The minimum amount of energy required for reactants to participate in a chemical reaction is known as activation energy.

If the reactant molecules do not have minimum amount of energy then they will not reach up to activation energy level. Hence, there will be no formation of products.

Thus, for the completion of a certain reaction activation energy is required.
