3logbase5(x^2+9)-6=0

Can somebody help me solve this please? If you can, don't just say the answer, I want to understand how to do this so an explanation would come in handy please and thank you. ^^

$3\log_5(x^2+9)-6=0$
$3\log_5(x^2+9)=6$
$\log_5(x^2+9)=2$
$5^{\log_5(x^2+9)}=5^2$
$x^2+9=25$
$x^2=16$
$x=\pm\sqrt{16}$
$x=\pm4$
