add -2y to both sides which give me 5x=-2y-6 then divide both sides by five which give you x=-2/5y+-6/5
substitute this into 3x-2y=22 when you do that you have to multiply both numbers by three which gives you -16/5y +-18/5=22 then add 18/5 to both sides which give me -16/5y=128/5 then divide both sides by 16/5 which help give us y
X=2
Y=-8
