In Ernest Hemingway’s “In Another Country,”the narrator and his friends went  tp a cafe after their treatments every afternoon.

The cafe was a kind of escape for the wounded soldiers, since the waitress who works there is patriotic and treats them  very well. Many of the townspeople treat them poorly since they are officers.

"In Another Country" is a short story by American author Ernest Hemingway. The short story is about an ambulance corps member in Milan during World War I.
