My scanner wouldn't work on our PC by using the scan buttons on the printer. Normally it works when I do this. So I went to the control panel and chose our printer and it had an icon for the scanner so I clicked on it and the scanner then worked and afterwards it worked juerst with the buttons on the printer as well.
