If you have a quarter of a pie and you cut it in half, what fraction of a pie would each slice represent?

if u have a quarter of a pie (1/4 of a pie)......and u cut it in half......(1/4) / 2 = 1/4 * 1/2 = 1/8...so each of the slices would represent 1/8 of the total pie
