The Proclamation of 1763 also known as the Royal Proclamation of 1763 came to be in October of 1763 by King George III. This proclamation came to be after Great Britain because of the owner of the French Territory in North America. Some of the colonists were displeased with the proclamation because those who owned part of the land in the area would be unable to claim the area and eventually sell it. The proclamation prevented them from doing so since it states boundaries in the Appalachian Mountains.
