In 100 to 150 words, give your opinion on why agricultural communities settled where they did.

Agricultural communities settled where they did because there was a water source near by for growing crops. It is very hard to grow plants or raise animals without a water source. People also settled near water sources so they could travel on ships and trade with other communities along the same water source. The people in the community also needed water to stay hydrated and to wash dirty clothes or to bathe.

In my opinion, they settled where they did because it was a good spot to, they had water and places too far. There was also no hills or mountains. You cant build a house on top of a mountain so they did it on flat land next to the river or lake so they get water. they use that water to drink or for there crops to grow. They also have room to raise farm animals for food and clothing. They also settled there so they don't have to go far to the next person's house. these are just some reasons I think they settled there.
