2(-3m + 1) = 4(m + 3)

Simplify.

-6m + 2 = 4m + 12

Subtract 2 from both sides, as well as subtracting 4m from both sides.

-6m - 4m = 12 - 2

Simplify.

-10m = 10

Divide both sides by -10.

m = -1
