d. the lower classes rule.
Explanation:
- Marco Tulio Cicero was a jurist, politician, philosopher, escritory orator Roman. He is considered one of the greatest rhetoricians and stylists of the Latin prose of the Roman Republic. Universally recognized as one of the most important authors of Roman history, he is responsible for the introduction of the most celebrated Greek philosophical schools in the republican intelligentsia, as well as the creation of a philosophical vocabulary in Latin. Great orator and reputed lawyer, Cicero focused -mostly- his attention on his political career. Today he is remembered for his writings of a humanist, philosophical and political character. Constituted in one of the maximum defenders of the traditional republican system it fought the dictatorship of César making use of all its resources. However, during his own career he did not hesitate to change his position depending on the political climate. This indecision is the result of its sensitive and impressionable character. Intemperate, he was prone to overreact to changes.
- Lucio Anneo Séneca, was a philosopher, politician, orator and Roman writer known for his works of moralistic character. Son of the orator Marco Anneo Séneca, was quaestor, praetor and senator of the Roman Empire during the governments of Tiberio, Calígula, Claudius and Nerón, besides minister, tutor and adviser of the emperor Nero. As a writer, Seneca went down in history as one of the greatest representatives of Stoicism. His work is the main written source of Stoic philosophy that has been preserved to this day. It covers both plays and philosophical dialogues, natural philosophy treatises, consolations and letters. Using a markedly rhetorical style, accessible and removed from technicalities, he delineated the main characteristics of late Stoicism, which together with Epícteto and Marco Aurelio is considered his greatest exponent.
