the answer is appropriate

Answer:

When revising an informative essay it is more important to make sure that language is appropriate for the audience.

Explanation:

The purpose of an informative essay is to explain the main characteristics of a topic, such as a situation, an experience, a thing or a person, in a the structure that contains 3 parts: introduction, body and conclusion. In this parts you have to develop a consistent and logical argument with evidence that supports your information. But for the informative essay to be a success the writer has to consider the audience to which is addressed so that the message is delivered effectively.

This process of consideration of the audience requires that language is such as the audience demands, so that means that in some cases it has to be used a language easy to understand when the audience is not an expert on the subject, for instance when referring to kids. In other times the language used tends to be difficult when the audience are specialists in the matter that can understand complex theories and concepts. The writer have to adapt the degree of difficulty on the language when the audience needs it but there is no a designated degree, so the correct answer could not be options 1) nor 4).

Instead, language should be appropriate because the writer must choose the words that are precise for the message to be delivered clearly to the audience, regardless the degree of difficulty they are managing. The point is to be as evident and understandable as possible, so this means that the option 2 is NOT the right answer as vagueness should be something that a writer always avoids in its essays.
