How does the direction of the electric current, moving across a battery powered device, differ from the direction of travel in the AC current sent to homes and businesses?

Respuesta :

Battery = Direct Current = one directional AC = Alternating current = 2-directional So in your house, current is flowing back in forth as the voltage varies through the sine wave. In a 60Hz AC system, a complete wave occurs every 1/60th of a second.

This is from my own notes, I got the answer from here on Brainly - it helped me when I had this question last year.
Direction of electric current moving across a battery is always in one direction.

But AC current changes its direction in equal lengths of time.

This is the major difference.

Hope This Helps You!
