I will give brainliest to the first person to answer my question.... The hourly rate for John, Rick, and Molli when working together is; 1/3 of a room per hour. The hourly rate for John is 1/6 of a room per hour. While, the hourly rate for Rick is 1/8 of a room per hour.

d. Write an equation comparing the group rate to the sum of the individual rates. How should the group rate and the sum of the individual parts compare? Use parts (b) and (c) to help you write the equation.

j+r+m=1/3 and j=1/6 and r=1/8

From this we can find Molli's rate

1/6+1/8+m=1/3  making all terms have a common denominator of 24

(4*1+3*1+24m)/24=8/24  multiplying whole expression by 24

4+3+24m=8  combining like terms on left

7+24m=8  subtracting 7 from both sides

24m=1  dividing 24 from both sides

m=1/24

So Molli can do 1/24 of a room in an hour.

check:

1/6+1/8+1/24=1/3

(4+3+1)/24=8/24

8/24=8/24
