x² - 6x = 15

Now half the coefficient of x then square it and add it to both sides of the equation

x² - 6x + $(\frac{6}{2})$² = 15  + $(\frac{6}{2})$

x² - 6x + 9 = 24

(x² - 3) ² = 24
