Vermont had 3 inches of snow on the ground before the sun melted 2 inches. The next storm tripled the amount on the ground. The sun then melted 1 1⁄2 inches. How many inches of snow are left on the ground?
7 and 1/2 inches heres how i got my answer 1st you know that originally theres 3 ft of snow then it says triple that amount so 3x3= 9 so then it says the sun melts 1 1/2 inches so 9-1 in = 8-1/2 in equals 7 and 1/2 inches so so 7 1/2 in should be correct
