To get this answer you need to distribut the 3 to the x and the seven. Then you take the -21 (3x7) and add ten to it leaving you with 3x-11 which is the answer

so you just multiply 3 and x which equals 3x then multiply 3 and -7 which equals -21. leving you with 3x-21+10 or 3x-11
