Tension is a form of suspense or potential conflict which can occur between characters or arise from general situations.
When there is tension between characters, usually bad things are going to happen, because they don't really see eye ti eye and like each other. There are ways to get rid of tension which usually include getting to know each other, or quite the opposite - completely avoiding each other.
