Why is the Louisiana Purchase treaty an important document in the study of Manifest Destiny?

Manifest destiny was the belief that it was the colonists destiny to go all the way from the east to the west. The Louisiana Purchase helped with that. It did this by giving them a massive amount of land to the west without them needing to fight for it.
