He was a political scientist, government official, journalist, military leader, economist, and a lawyer.
Alexander Hamilton was an orphan from the small island of Nevis more specifically St. Croix. He was orphaned at a young age and moved to NYC when he was 18. Before he moved to NY he worked at a slave trade, however he hated it. He wrote many well written letters at the age of 14, his letter were very impressive for his age. When he arrived in NY he went to King's College (today Columbia University). He was 19 and had a mind way ahead of his time. He had huge ideas for a country, he got way into economics in college. Once the revolution began he fought in the revolution along side Washington himself as his second/right hand. Hamilton was good on the field but even better with a pen. After the war he became a layer and was basically the founder of the Federalist Party. Hamilton founded the national bank that we still use today (Wall Street). This is why he is on the ten dollar bill. Hamilton also had a huge say in what happened in the election of 1800. Hamilton chose Jefferson as president over Burr which later led him to his death. Well hope this helped sorry its so long but hey its info!
