The major thing that they supported was creating a worldwide revolution and spreading communist ideology. They wanted for workers of the world to unite and build a communist worldwide state based around the proletariat and their goals. The proletariat were the working class since they were the ones who contributed the society the most so it was natural according to them that they should be in charge.

Although there were many significant differences between Lenin and Stalin, they also agreed on many policy goals. This is not surprising as they were both members of the same party and followed the same ideology.

Both Lenin and Stalin believed that social classes needed to be eliminated. They had a strong dislike for inherited titles and socioeconomic differences. More importantly, they believed that the workers needed to be compensated fairly and have the most political power. Industrialization was one of the main goals that both leaders pursued. Both thinkers also saw national unity and strength as vital in order to pursue their policies. Finally, they both believed that radical revolution was the only way to achieve their goals.
