We think of the people who assisted the Underground Railroad as heroes but in their time they were also considered.......

What were they also considered ??

They were considered criminals by many because it was against the law to harbor runaways.

To those who were anti slavery, and to all now days they are heroes, but back then to those who were pro slavery, they were criminals, breaking the law.
