there are 42 passengers on a bus. the ratio of the number of adults to the number of children on the bus is 1:6. Half way through the journey, 4 adults boarded the bus while 2 children alighted. what is the ratio of the number of adults to the number of children still on the bus? (simplest form please)
*please answer immediately. it might sound long but I'm sure it's not that hard. i'm just dumb or something. this has to bepassed up tomorrow):

So there are 6 adults on and 36 children on the bus in the beginning. 4 adults get on and 2 children get off which bring the net number to 34 kids and 10 adults. This is equivalent to a ratio of 1 to 3.4 I believe.
out of 42 there are 6 groups. each group has 1 adult and 6 kid
now there are 5 groups each with 1 adult and 6 kids then one other group with 4 adults and 4 kids . that makes 9 adults to 34 kids. I think I have done this correctly but I'm not 100% sure but I hope this helps!
