"The greenhouse effect is a natural phenomenon. The earth needs a greenhouse effect to keep some of the heat from the sun, so that the earth is at a comfortable temperature for life to continue. However, human activity has been contributing to the natural greenhouse condition to a critical extent. Since we started to seriously burn coal and other fossil fuels about 200 years ago, the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has increased. As the population of the world increases there is huge demand for meat, so more and more cattle and sheep are bred."
