One of the major problems Thomas Edison encounter, after he invented the electric light bulb, was on how will he distribute it to the consumers themselves. It was commonly known that Thomas Edison is an advocate of DC electricity however it was proven to be very expensive. The problem was eventually solved by Westinghouse and Tesla using their AC electricity.
