Pushing a car up a hill, rolling a ball or pushing a desk across a room are some examples of everyday contact forces.
In the first case, the force is continously applied to the person on the car, while in the second case the force delivered in a short impulse.

Non-contact forces on the other hand are forces which acts on an object, without coming physically in contact. The most familiar example of a non-contact force is weight. Here is an example of known fundamental interactions that at e non-contact forces:

Gravity, the force of attraction that exists among all bodies that have mass.

Electromagnetism, the force that causes the interaction between electrically charged particles; the areas in which this happens are called electromagnetic fields.
