The bombing of Pearl Harbor brought the US into the war and even though Hitler didn't have to he declared war on the USA when the USA declared war on Japan. When Hitler declared war on the USA it was most likely the reason why Hitler lost the war in Europe. If the Japanese didn't bomb Pearl Harbor the world war might have been a lot more different.
