it says -18 is 18 digits away from 0

I'm a bit uncertain of what they are asking here, but the absolute value of -18 is 18. Maybe the answer is "Knowing the absolute value of -18 degrees Celsius tells us that the temperature is 18 degrees below zero." 

Again, this question is weirdly worded but I hope this helps. :)
