Can you please tell me what you guys think of this quote? (It's by Eisenhower)
“The United States never lost a soldier or a foot of ground in my administration. We kept the peace. People asked how it happened – by God, it didn’t just happen, I’ll tell you that.” What do you think he meant? How important do you think his accomplishments were?

I think he mean't that he did mange to keep the peace but that it wasn't an easy task. "it didn't just happen" is where I draw that conclusion. Personally, I think his accomplishments are very important due to the state our foreign affairs maintained
