Explain the difference between the New Jersey Plan and the Virginia Plan. Which plan favored small states and which favored large states?

Explain the difference between a federalist and an anti-federalist. Include where each resided, north vs south?

How was the main problem of the Anti-Federalists solved?

Respuesta :

The New Jersey plan had a One House Legislature. The Virginia Plan had a Two House Legislature.

In New Jersey there is an equal representation in congress, where in Virginia it is a representation based on Virginia's population.

New Jersey was supported by smaller states and Virginia was supported by larger states (probably because it has the nations capital).

Federalist- a person who advocates or supports a system of government in which several states unite under a central authority.
Anti-federalist- a person who opposed the ratification of the Constitution in 1789 and thereafter allied with Thomas Jefferson's Anti-federal Party, which opposed extension of the powers of the federal Government.

It was solved by combing the two states. There is now a Two House Legislature. Equal representation in higher congress. Representation in lower congress is to be proportional to population.
