One could argue that a problem today such as the almost imenent state of Nuclear war Between North Korea and the United States is directly caused by the industrial revolution. North Korea is a Communist nation. The idea of Communism came from Karl Marx who witnessed the hardships the factory working class went through during the time of the industiral revolution. Communism takes away the factory owners and makes it so that everyone gets treated and paid evenly. If the Indistrial Revolution never happened then we wouldn't have Communism like it is today and we sure wouldn't have a Communist Dictatorship ruling North Korea. Not to mention all the weapons that every military in the wolrd have today. If it weren't for the industrial revolution then we wouldn't have weapons of today on such a large scale.
