What we called it in our art class was emphasis, but in your case I guess that would be dominance.

Dominance relates to which objects or parts of an artwork are given emphasis in the composition. Between any two elements in a design which are not equal ,one of them is more dominant. The more dominant element will attract the eye, get noticed first and exhibits some sort of control over the less dominant element.
