Summerian merchants traded to import all of the following metals except iron. They needed copper, gold, and tin which they couldn't find in their home country Mesopotamia (today's Iraq), so they traded anything they had in order to obtain those metals. They didn't need any more iron, however, because that is one metal they had in abundance.
