If each scientist used all skills in the same order, our results would be more accurate, due to the scientists not coming to the same answers in different ways. The point of the scientific inquiry is to help us come to an answer by using reasonable thinking and knowledge to come to a conclusion. Also, the scientists would be using higher levels of thinking since they are developing reason and explanation behind their answers, whilst being able to explain HOW they got to their answer and what changes they had to make throughout to get their answer.
