What is the angle between two of the phosphorus-chlorine bonds in the phosphorus tetrachloryl ( PCl+4 ) ion?

Respuesta :

Hagrid
If we draw a Lewis structure of a Phosphorus tetrachloryl ion (PCl+4), the geometry of the ion is tetrahedral. Now, we can measure the bond angle between two of the phosphorus - chlorine bonds. The bond angle for tetrahedral structures is 109.5 degrees.
