Peter is distributing pamphlets about dog care and samples of dog biscuits the dog biscuits come in pacakefes of 12 and the pamphlets are in packages of 20 what is the smallest number of samples and pamphlets he needs to distribute without having any left over?

Respuesta :

5 packages of biscuits and 3 of pamphlets.

The real thing to pay attention to is the word *smallest* and the numbers, along with the labels of what they represent. If you can only have who packages of 20, that's a limiting point. Make sure whatever multiple you buy, the biscuits have a value that ends in 0, such as the numbers 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 etc. The first number to multiply 12 by to give you a number like that is to multiply it by 5. That gives you 60. Then multiply 20 by 3 to get sixty.
