Not too sure but this looks like a walk around problem to me...
The tangent points are where you would split the segment in half so
16-x for one equation (base)
Then if I'm not wrong then it's 16-14 for the leg on the right
Then 14-10 for the final leg?
I can't remember that well so I might be wrong. Sorry. :(
