The height of an acorn falling out of a tree is given by h=-16t+b. If an acorn takes 1 second to fall to the ground what is the value of b?

Respuesta :

From the equation given above,
                               h = -16t + b
If it takes 1 second to fall to the ground, we substitute 1 to t of the equation,
                               h = -16(1) + b
Adding 16 to both sides of the equation, the value of b would be
                               h + 16 = b
or
                                 b = h + 16
