Medicare enrollment begins 3 months before your 65th birthday. And you will be automatically enrolled Medicare Parts A and B effective the month you turn 65. Hope that helps you at least a bit ^^
You can have private insurance but you must have insurance. Medicare can work with or supplement some private insurance plans- you are not required by law to have Medicare*
