What you have to do to find the common denominator is to find the least common denominator by finding a multiple of 4 and 3. I know that 4 × 3 = 12 and 3 × 4 = 12, so that is gonna be my denominator. Now, we just have to multiply 3/4 by 3 and 2/3 by 4 and we have the answers of 9/12 and 8/12. Now I can subtract. 9/12 - 8/12 is gonna equal 1/12. This shows how I got my answer of 1/12.
