The price of a pair of jeans increases from 40 to 45. Approximately how much did the store markup the price of the jeans?

Respuesta :

% increase = Increase (new number - old number) ÷ original Number × 100.

45 - 40 = 5

= 12.5% Cheers!

Do you have any options? If not then try following the steps that are show down below

Let's see what we're working on here

[tex] \frac{45 -40}{40} (100)[/tex]

[tex] \frac{5}{40} (100)[/tex]

[tex].125 (100)[/tex] = 12.5
   =  [tex]0.125(100)[/tex] = 12.50

[tex]12.5%[/tex] is the changing process and the increasing process as well!

Oh and by the way 12.5 can also be equivalent to [tex]12.50 [/tex]but your actual answer would have to be just [tex]12.5[/tex]

Good Luck x :)
