Milankovitch cycle is a cycle that occurs due to changes in the earth’s movement (orbit) around the sun over several years ago. The Milankovitch cycle include eccentricity (shape of the earth’s orbit), axial tilt (obliquity), and precession (how much the earth wobbles on its axis) which all combine to cause different effect on the amount of solar energy reaching the earth and eventually influence climatic patterns.
