The government overspending on their King caused them to go into major debt, which did not help them because they did not have no money for funding and this left them no other option but to go to war. The other reason was that they had no ideas. They were in contact with American philosophers and this caused for the spread of new ideas on the way that people should be treated, which also caused for the people to want to go to war.
