Hello!
So, there is a rule that says if you are adding or subtracting something with a common denominator, you can put the numerators together and simplify.
[tex]\:\frac{a}{c}\pm \frac{b}{c}=\frac{a\pm \:b}{c}[/tex]
Which applying to your equation gives
[tex]=\frac{x-2+4x-4}{6x^2+6x}[/tex]

which you then simplify to
[tex]=\frac{5x-6}{6x^2+6x}[/tex]

[tex] D. \: \frac{ 5x - 6}{6 {x}^{2} + 6x } [/tex]

Step-by-step explanation:

[tex] \frac{ x - 2 + 4x - 4}{6 {x}^{2} + 6x } [/tex]

[tex] \frac{ 5x - 6}{6 {x}^{2} + 6x } [/tex]
