Philosopher and theologian St. Thomas Aquinas was also known as the “Angelic Doctor”, “The Universal Teacher”, and “The Christian Apostle”. He was born in 1225 in Roccasecca, Italy and died on March 7, 1274.His fathers name was Landulph and his mother’s was Theodora.

 Saint Thomas Aquinas was known as an Scholastic Philosopher (followed method of critical thinking) and Doctor of the Church.  When someone made a significant contribution to theology or doctrine through their writing or research study, the Catholic Church recognizes as saint and gives them the title of Doctor of the Church.
