Pablo Neruda (1904-1973) was a Chilean poet, writer and also served as a diplomat in other countries. He had a socialists affiliation and supported Communists' ideas expressed by USSR leader Joseph Stalin and Cuban leader Fidel Castro. He wrote the acclaimed book "Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Dispair" in 1924, and was awarded the Noble Prize of literature in 1971. As a diplomat he was appointed as a Chilean Consul in Mexico.
