The difference between a debit card and a credit card is where the cards pull the money. A debit card takes it from your banking account and a credit card charges it to your line of credit. Debit cards take money from your checking account. A credit card takes money in small amounts at a time. If you are not careful, you may end up having to owe a ton of money. It is important to keep a running balance of your checking account so you do not have to experience an overdraw.
