In phase I of the precede-proceed model, Social assessment seeks to subjectively define the quality of life of those in the priority population.
The PRECEDE-PROCEED model is a framework for cost-benefit analysis that establishes tools for the healthcare system, allowing planners of health programs, policymakers, and other stakeholders to quickly assess the situation and create long-lasting health initiatives.
This paradigm was suggested by Lawrence W. Green in 1974. In order to achieve the intended goals, this framework offers thorough information or a structure for an accurate assessment of the health and quality of life needs, followed by an effective design, implementation, and evaluation of health promotion.
However, this framework's Phase I (one) is known as the "Social Assessment." The analysis and evaluation of the shared issues that have an impact on the population of interest's quality of life is the focus of the first stage of the program planning phase (i.e. Proceed).
