The 4,444 one-to-one laptop programs also enhanced 21st century student skills—skills required in the information age, such as the ability to find and use Internet resources. Students also improved their collaborative learning skills. In other words, my ability to work collaboratively with other students has improved.
Negroponte has had bold plans, such as saying in 2011 that she would throw tablets from a helicopter laden with 100 books to encourage children to read. These tablets were never made and in 2014 her OLPC foundation was dissolved.
