So basically what you want to do is conjugate the words in parentheses to the past version, using either the imperfect or the past perfect (I think thats what passato prossimo is ) where it's appropriate. I have literally no experience with Italian (It looks like Italian at least) so I can't reliably help you figure out the words, but what I would do (using Spanish experience) is translate the entire thing into English, fill in the missing words with the right tense, and look up the English word to see if it's considered imperfect or past perfect so you know what to conjugate to, then go back to Italian and conjugate the words in parentheses for the spaces before them. Just make sure it's all right and makes sense before you turn it in :D
